1. Launch CAPITAL Business Manager.
2. From the main menu select Company|Administration|Backup
3. If this is the first time you've run a back-up, select "Change Backup Settings" and press Next>
4. Select the type of back-up and press Next>
Note:
If you are doing a total back-up prior to a software upgrade select "CAPITAL programs, settings and databases"
If you just want to back-up your data (your program is not being changed), select either "All company databases" or "A specific company" and then nominate the company you want to back-up from the drop-down list.
5. When prompted for a destination, specify the path and file name of your back-up, i.e., D:\BACKUPS\CAPITAL
Note:
Preferably, try to store your back-up on a separate physical drive if possible.
6. Press Finished, then step through the confirmation prompts until the back-up commences.
